Cooler

November 17th, 2008

The rain hasn’t stopped today and has been slowly falling all the time. I did go outside at one stage and rode the bike, but with the rain has come cooler temperatures, so I didn’t stay out long as it was actually chilly. I prefer it though, better than heat. I woke up this morning with a sore throat surprisingly. I think it might be a knee jerk reaction to the amount of alcohol I had the other day, although it’s taken a while to come about, and I was and still am eating moderately healthily. I had some veggies last night and have been eating fruit yoghurts for a while. It’s just another ailment I’ll end up keeping for a little bit. Not surprisingly, nothing much happened here today, but I did get some things sorted online. Myspace has finally updated […]

Rainy

November 16th, 2008

By the time I finally arose this morning it was too hot too even contemplate having a shower and I was wearing hardly anything, had the sheets kicked back and a fan pointed at me. It certainly has got to that stage again where I really wish I was somewhere else. I was going to just jump in the pool instead of a shower this morning, but got side tracked with TV and my computer. Instead I had a shower this evening, even though it still felt too hot to be having one. In the middle of the afternoon the sky got dark and it started to rain. Humidity isn’t something I look forward to and it certainly hasn’t been dry recently. Also, with the increasing temperatures and humidity has come more bugs that like to bite me, so for the past couple days […]

Moved Out

November 15th, 2008

Luckily I drank a lot of water before bed, because this morning, short of having a really dry mouth, I was feeling pretty good. I did have a long sleep-in though, and did have a very big glass of milk when I couldn’t find any more water, but I was feeling a lot better than some. After a shower and a yoghurt I packed up whatever remained in my room and then loaded it into the car. I made sure to remove any blue-tack from the walls and even got the vacuum out to clean my floor. Hopefully I’ll get the full bond back when they’re done their inspection. Following that, I made myself a cuppa with my last tea bag and walked over to Kim’s unit to start the clean up over there. To my surprise, a few of them had already taken […]

End of Year Party

November 14th, 2008

Last night I had a sort of revelation as I was lying in bed. It wasn’t life changing or anything like that, but it did make the party held today a lot more cool. Basically I decided that instead of just using my iPod to play music, I’d go the same route as I did on my birthday, and use the iPod as the remote for my computer. Unfortunately the Airport Express was on the Gold Coast. So this morning I woke up early and drove home to pick up the wireless device. Ordinarily that’d be a massive waste of fuel though, so I also packed up some of the bigger items in my room and brought them with me, as I knew it’d be a tight fit tomorrow otherwise. All in all, it worked out for the best, as my bike ended up […]

Table Tennis Doubles

November 13th, 2008

Another boring day at university really, the night’s get interesting, but the day sucks. So this afternoon there wasn’t a lot going on. I watched Office Space in Kim’s unit, and then the movie I bought, Mel Brooks’ History of the World: Part 1. I thought Office Space was really good, lots of laughs and a very good script. My movie was a little less funny in places, though there were some funny bits, just really spread out. This evening was open mic night, the last one of the year, however it again received a very small turnout. The band from previous nights was back, as loud as ever and playing to about 7 people. I listened to a song and a half before leaving, slightly deafened already. Seeing as today is Thursday, we also had a healthy dinner for the week […]

The Neverending Story

November 12th, 2008

Another late-ish start for me today, and I was going to sleep in for part of the afternoon too, had I not received a text from Warrick shortly after 12. I presumed he wanted to catch up over lunch, however I had no credit to reply, and he was no where to be found when I got outside. Add to that it started raining, so I just stayed inside till it stopped. Eventually we caught up, and I finally used my Sanity gift card at Orion. I had to contribute $15 additionally to it to get 3 DVD’s for $30. I thought it was good value, so I got The Neverending Story, an old movie, but a good one, and one I’ve been talking about for a while considering that photo of Chilli looks like the Luck Dragon. Anyway, we watched it tonight, and […]

Trivia Prizes

November 11th, 2008

I had a bit of a late start to the day today. I’d had a very late night last night as you should know, playing ping pong, and then writing my blog, so I was sleeping through much of the morning. I arose before 12 though and had a shower, got cleaned up and out of my room. The first order of business for the day was shopping. The milk in the fridge had started smelling a little off and so I couldn’t use that for tea, so I needed to buy some new milk, among other things. I had noodles for lunch, not amazingly healthy really, and pizza for dinner. I must of been hungry though as I finished the whole pizza. Trivia was good, we averaged 6 points each round, finishing on 36, plus two points from last week instead of […]
